A.C.S.
Hards & Co has provided a personal approach to legal services to clients for
over 40 years. We maintain well established traditions of effective advice and
action, built up from nearly half a century of experience.
Our range of experience is broad, and whether you need advice on personal
or business matters we are able to help.
Being
a partner based firm we are able to move quickly in emergencies, having no
cumbersome bureaucracy to contend with. Almost
invariably your case will be dealt with by a partner, supported by our competent
and able staff. Each partner has
specific areas of expertise, as well as a firm knowledge of general principles
and procedures. In order to retain
our traditional high standards of service and to ensure prompt action on your
behalf we are well served by modern office technology and systems.
David Hards has been senior partner of the firm for over 20 years, having succeeded from his father, the founder of the firm. David advises on commercial conveyancing, general business and company matters, including employment law. As supporters of the “Lawyers for Enterprise” scheme, we have advised many local business people in the set up and running of their enterprises.
A keen supporter of local institutions, David has served two terms as President of the local Rotary Club, he has been secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce and a governor of Beverley School. He lists golf and watching rugby as some of his many pastimes.
Ian Lipscombe has been a partner for over 20 years. He has wide experience of residential conveyancing, and currently specialises in family matters and general litigation. Ian is a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association, that seeks to treat the difficulties of family breakdown in a responsible and constructive way.
Ian is an active member of his local church, where amongst other things his co-edits the parish magazine and leads the music group. Ian is also a member of a local chamber choir and an enthusiastic cricketer.
